I saw this movie recently "Agora " Hypatia - story of a beautiful female astronomer/mathematician/philosopher - brutally murdered by deluded Christian mob in Ancient Alexandria . (Na- post ko na rin ito doon sa kabilang forum ...)

Really an eye-opener for theists ... only shows that Christians has been carve thru violence as well ...
Carl Sagan would have enjoyed this.

Just imagine if what's stored in the Library of Alexandria is still preserved today. It's unfortunate that competing corporate religions should destroy repositories of human knowledge just to satisfy their arrogance. I think the Baghdad Museum faced the same fate during the Iraq Wars.

Carl Sagan in his Cosmos t.v. series alloted one whole episode for this.
