I don't understand the political style of our government. When a Chinese dissident won the Nobel Peace Prize, China and a small band of rogue nations boycotted the award ceremony. The Philippines, headed by a son of the champion of People's Power, joined this shameless band of nations in the boycott. Clearly, the Philippines was intimidated by China and was hoping for clemency of drug mules that languised in Chinese death row.

In a few days, the death row Pinoys will be executed in China and the Filipino nation is shocked that these lowly drug mules -- not entirely innocent but not overly involved in drug trafficking -- will face death penalty. Their main "crimes" were naivete and poverty.

But, recently, we captured big-shot Chinese drug manufacturers and traffickers. But what we did was send them off to China when Beijing demanded for it, even at the cost of Taiwanese consternation and ire. When Beijing demands, we panic. We could have held off the repatriation of those criminals, tried them here, and render death penalty at exactly the same day as the one in China. Tit or tat for the Chinese bullies.

We have too many bullies, the wily Americans, the astig Chinese, and the religious Bereans.
