Famous Priest Resigned

A very well known TV host of a Catholic religious program on TV has to resign.

You guessed it, guys, it is for sexual scandal. I know, I know, there has been too many scandals already, it is getting boring. But for as long as the religious conservatives keep on being hypocritical, I will continue to report on their fall from grace.

He had a long-time sexual relationship. (Yuck!)

With his second cousin. (Yuck! Yuck!)

But the cousin was a woman, not a man. (Thank, God!!!)

I'm sure you are happy that the priest is not gay. Why? I don't understand. It seems that you can tolerate and nod your head sympathetically for any type of sins, but if gayness is involved, you could not stand it. That is hypocrisy. And I am not accusing the priest, I am accusing somebody else.

Haven't you thought of emulating the famous athiest scientists like Stephen Hawking or Richard Dawkings? They have made contributions to the world that will outlive their single lifetimes. They and their work will be remembered for a LONG time.

Gordon, I have thought of emulating the famous atheists, but we each have limitations. I don't have their talents. I'm just good enough as an anonymous forum poster just like the countless millions of us. Alas, even if I wanted to, I cannot be Hawking, just as you cannot be Pope John Paul the Great.

Ha! Ha! Still trying to bait me, are you? You couldn't bait me in the other forum, why should this place be any different?

Bait you to do what? To admit that you are a priest? It does not matter to me either way. I treat clergy and laity equally as fellow human beings. There was a priest in the Old BARM and it was easy to trace it to you. The style is unmistakable, both the strong positive and the negative aspects of your style.

But if you are bothered by me calling you by your professional title, then just stop me. Simply say, "Ateo, I am not a priest" and I won't treat you as such. The problem is that you cannot say that because of the Commandment against lying.
